Mahalia Barnes has been in and around music her entire life. She grew up listening to everything from Ray Charles, Otis Redding and Ike & Tina Turner to Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder, shaping her into the powerhouse soul and blues vocalist that has jaws dropping every time she picks up a microphone.

Mahalia Barnes + The Soul Mates have toured supporting artists including Bruce Springsteen, The Roots, Mavis Staples, Bryan Adams and Tom Jones, as well as playing their own headline shows nationally and internationally for over 20 years.

Mahalia has a unique ability to make her audience feel every word and note she sings. An authentic and captivating storyteller, fearlessly vulnerable and deeply connected to the songs she performs.

The Soul Mates is a floating lineup featuring some of Australia’s most respected musicians, including Clayton Doley, Franco Raggatt, Benjamin Rodgers and more. In any format, the audience is invited into Mahalia’s world, taken on a unique journey through soul, blues and rock n roll.

No Outside food or drinks are to be brought into the venue. 

All children under 18 not permitted including small children and babies. Photo ID is essential, acceptable ID is a current and valid Australian Drivers Licence or Passport. Intoxicated persons will not be admitted. No thongs, steel cap boots, or spiked attire. Dangerous  behaviour including Crowd Surfing, Stage Diving, Moshing and Violent Dancing is not allowed and will result in your immediate removal from  this venue. Inappropriate behaviour at this venue will lead to your banning.
