Maria Arnal is an unconventional architect of sound, merging electronics, avant-pop and traditional polyphonic music to create beguiling soundscapes that defy the boundaries of genre.

The Barcelona-based singer-songwriter's artistic universe is a galaxy of sound, technology and art, a cosmic sculpture where ancient folk traditions collide with futuristic soundscapes, and human expression meets technological experimentation. One of Spain's most innovative voices in contemporary music, Arnal's boundary-pushing artistry has garnered international critical acclaim and a constellation of accolades.

Her multidisciplinary practice stretches far beyond conventional songwriting, building entire sonic universes at the intersection of music, artificial intelligence and the human experience. From Hiperutopia, a cosmic fusion of traditional melodies and futuristic mythology, to SIRENA, a generative choral installation co-created with John Talabot that responds to Barcelona's real-time environmental data, Arnal continually reimagines the possibilities of sound. Her experimentation with synthetic voice technology is further explored in Maria CHOIR, an interactive installation featuring AI-generated reproductions of her own voice.

Her visionary approach has taken her to some of the world's most prestigious cultural stages, from Sónar Festival and the Venice Biennale to Iceland Airwaves and a TED event in Vancouver. Her accolades include the Premi Ciutat de Barcelona, Premio Ruido, an honorary mention at Ars Electronica's S+T+Arts Prize and a Gaudí Award for her original score for Polvo Serán.

In February 2026, Arnal unveiled her debut solo album AMA via Atlantic Records, the culmination of years of artistic research into synthetic voice models and artificial intelligence. Developed through a collaboration with the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, the record marks another chapter in her ever-expanding creative universe, where the organic and the synthetic exist in constant dialogue.

In March 2027, Maria Arnal makes her Australian debut, bringing her extraordinary sonic universe to Australian audiences for the very first time.

Intoxicated persons will not be admitted. No thongs, steel cap boots, or spiked attire. Dangerous  behaviour including Crowd Surfing, Stage Diving, Moshing and Violent Dancing is not allowed and will result in your immediate removal from  this venue. Inappropriate behaviour at this venue will lead to your banning.
