About

"Your voice is such a gift! So are the lyrics you sing! And the music you sing atop! It's all so special and one of one." - Abby Butler (Triple J)

Melbourne-based alternative-folk songwriter Stella Dunai brings her captivating live show to the stage for a debut headline performance. Blending raw, intimate lyricism and delicate, warm vocals with lush acoustic arrangements and adventurous instrumentation, Stella creates an immersive sound that moves between quiet, reflective moments and expansive, full-band arrangements. Drawing inspiration from artists like Adrianne Lenker, Haley Heynderickx and Laura Marling, her songs are equal parts vulnerable, intricate and deeply human.

Best known as the front woman of Melbourne six-piece electronic/soul collective Empress, Stella has performed at festivals including Dark Mofo, Sun Cycle, Panama, Beyond the Valley and Meadow Festival. Now carving out a world of her own as a solo artist, she brings a more organic and personal approach to her songwriting, exploring connection, change and the complexities of being human.

Following the release of new singles from her forthcoming debut album Nothing To Be Scared Of, including the acclaimed ‘Move On!’, and her recent debut international show in Paris, Stella continues to establish herself as an exciting new voice in Australian alternative folk. Don’t miss the chance to experience her unique, heartfelt songwriting live.
