Thabani Gapara presents My African Christmas

Celebrate the holiday season through the vibrant sounds of Africa with Thabani Gapara in My African Christmas. This festive concert features original arrangements of beloved Christmas songs and hymns, alongside new compositions written specifically for this show, blending the familiar with the fresh.

Take the sounds of Zimbabwean mbira music, Mbakumba, and Mhande, blend them with the infectious grooves of South African Mbaqanga, Kwela, and Marabi, and add the lively rhythms of West African highlife and Afro-beat. The result is a joyful, soulful, and uplifting musical journey that reimagines holiday melodies through the heartbeat of Africa.
